Before and after- The power of paint

My client was so sweet to share the finished result of her kitchen makeover.

Before

My client was interested in keeping all the cabinets, as well as the original countertops, but wanted to freshen up the colors, hardware, lighting, as well as create a custom range hood to replace the old microwave location. I love the challenge of incorporating the old with the new!

The wood cabinetry felt very dark in this 90s kitchen, with only one window. So, I carefully selected a color palette for this room that would lighten things up, while coordinating with adjacent rooms. It made a world of difference!

After:

Would you believe this is the same kitchen?? I love how special the glass-door cabinets feel now. The peninsula is a light gray, so stands out a bit more, but blends nicely. Marble subway tile, brass hardware and a pop of red in the lighting above the beverage sink totally elevate the look. The shaker-style range hood is timeless and keeps the window wall as the focal point in this kitchen.

The original gold rope detail on the cabinet trim before now can’t be seen. It feels so much more modern and updated!

I’m so happy I was able to assist this family with their kitchen-refresh!
